APOLLO FACULTY MATTERS
Hey 7e! Here's an update about some stuff that will be going on in Apollo these few weeks:
1) Do check out www.yellowisforapollo.blogspot.com for next year's faculty shirt design! It's really pretty damn awesomeeee (: The new faculty shirts will be available in a few weeks time from now, so remember to get them then okay!
2) We will be having our FACULTY BREAKFAST next tuesday, 20th October, in place of the math lecture that is cancelled. The venue of Apollo's breakfast will be the LEFT WING. Each student in class will receive $2 to buy stuff for breakfast, so it's up to us what we want to eat. However, there'll be 2 competitions- the MOST CREATIVE YELLOW FOOD ITEM and each class has to send one representative to take part in a limbo competition.
A few of us were discussing about some ideas for the yellow food item cum breakfast and here are some of them:
-Pineapple rice
-Guo tiao mian soup
Please give more suggestions on the tagboard so that we can get the food ready by tuesday! Thanks (:
3) FESTIVAL OF SPORTS (FOS) will be held on 27th October, Tuesday, 4-7pm. These are the games that will be held:
· 6-a-side Volleyball (Boys)- total 12 students (from each faculty)
· 6-a-side Volleyball (Girls)- total 12 students
· 5-on-5 Basketball (Boys)- total 12 students
· 5-on-5 Basketball (Girls)- total 12 students
· 7-a-side Netball (Girls)- total 12 students
· 7-a-side Field Soccer (Boys)- total 12 students
Only ONE school team player is allowed on court each time, but it does not mean that we can only get 1 school team player because the players can be substituted.
For those who are interested to participate, please pass your name and the game(s) you're interested in to me by THIS MONDAY, 19 October, as i have to submit the names the next day. The captain of each team representing Apollo will then choose people to represent the faculty from all the names submitted.
The captains of the teams are as follows:
Basketball: Adelbert (boys), Cassandra (girls)
Volleyball: Junde (boys), Kristie (girls)
Soccer: Akilan, Zachary
Netball: Olivia
4) Apollo's FACULTY OUTING will be held on 7 November at DXO (a club near Esplanade). YAYYYYY WE'RE FINALLY GETTING OUT OF SCHOOL! (: It'll be held from 3-6 pm because we're under 18 and it is a club. Each person will need to pay about $10 if you're interested in going because food will also be provided! The programme on that day include song performances by Junde and Waiyee, as well as a 2010 fac dance preview by dah wei and myself (: So do come down and support the event if you can okay! Also, on that day itself, nominations for titles like "Little Miss/Mr Sunshine/cheerful/chatterbox" will be ongoing! So it's gonna be really exciting! The order form for this event will be coming around soon, so if you're interested, do keep that date free (:
That's about all from me! Exciting stuff yah! Please give suggestions about the yellow food item on the tagboard okays! Thankssssss (:
Peace out, Bernice
